I enjoy working with people to achieve a sense of overall fulfillment. Using warm and encouraging support, I work together with clients to help them rediscover their confidence, find life balance and enjoy every aspect of their lives. I believe that each person’s story is unique, and that using an integrated approach is often ideal to maintain long term success.
I have worked with individuals and couples, and my experience and interest includes working with women and men suffering from abuse and trauma, men and women with anger management issues, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, stress management, post-traumatic stress, marital issues, and relationship issues. Cultural awareness is important in building a therapeutic relationship with my clients, and I have had training in cultural sensitivity and experience working with culturally diverse groups.
In addition to my clinical pursuits, I have a passion for promotion overall mental health and wellness. I also supervise and train therapists, counsellors, clinicians and students in clinical practice and psychotherapeutic treatments and approaches.
I graduated with a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology and I am Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychotherapists, and Psychometrists (OACCPP).

Zell Dharsee, MA, RP

Zell utilizes a collaborative and integrative approach which blends cognitive behavioural therapy, psychoanalytic theory, neuroscience, and philosophy. His approach to counselling is to be transparent, active, empowering, and supportive as you work together. He works with adults who are affected by a variety of personal challenges including depression, anxiety, work stress, trauma, self esteem, anger management, life transitions, relationship issues, chronic pain, and religious disaffiliation. He also conducts a variety of assessments for children and adults including intelligence and achievement testing, MVA & WSIB assessments, and assessments for immigration/refugee claims.
He completed his Masters in Counselling Psychology, and is currently training in Psychoanalysis through the Toronto Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis. Zell also holds a certificate in Concurrent Disorders through CAMH. He is a member of the OACCPP, and a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario with the CRPO.
Ali Dohadwala, MA, CCC, RP

Ali's therapeutic approach is based on creating a supportive space for clients to overcome their challenges and reach their life goals by learning about their past and how it may impact the struggles they now face. He offers his clients an opportunity to develop new skills and insights to empower them to meet present and future challenges in a self-affirming way.
He has worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, addictions, anxiety, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, anger management, grief and loss, career concerns, and gender issues. Ali's counselling style is client-centred and integrative, drawing on various therapies and techniques to help clients including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness practices.
Ali completed his Masters of Counselling Psychology at the University of Victoria, where he also completed an Honours B.Sc. in Psychology. He continues to stay up-to-date through professional development and workshops to ensure he is providing the most current and evidence-based treatments to his clients.
Carol Henderson, MA, RP

Carol believes that in our increasingly complex and multicultural society, individuals, couples and families occasionally need assistance navigating through difficult situations. Carol works collaboratively with clients to identify modes of thinking and behaviours that may be contributing to their distress. With a warm and empathic style, Carol encourages clients to explore their underlying issues, develop and implement solutions. Carol's areas of interest include addictions, anxiety, couples and family therapy.
Carol graduated with her Masters in Counselling Psychology and is a member of the OACCPP.
Stacey Brion, MA, M.Ed., RP

Stacey has devoted much of her time to building a fulfilling career working with families, children and adolescents. Her approach to therapy is integrative in nature, and brings together both person-centered and cognitive therapies to help clients better understand their strengths, to implement solutions, and to improve the stability and happiness within the family and or couple. Other areas of interest include: anger management, social-skills training, crisis intervention, child support, communication training, and grief counselling.
Stacey graduated with a Bachelors degree in Childhood and Family Relations from the University of Western Ontario. She then went on to do a Masters of Education in Developmental Psychology from the University of Toronto, followed by a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She is a member of the OACCPP and a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO.
Adelaine Thomas, M.Ed., RP

Adelaine brings both academic and clinical experience to her work here at CCS. Clients and co-workers alike remark on the warmth, calmness, and acceptance that Adelaine exudes. She has a special interest in issues related to chronic conditions and disabilities but her areas of expertise include anger management, stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, assertiveness, grief and loss. Adelaine enjoys working with clients on a collaborative and personalized approach to meet one's unique life challenges, navigate difficult situations, become 'unstuck' and recognize their unique strengths. Adelaine's therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioural yet she will draw on an integration of specific therapies and techniques so as to meet the needs of her clients. These approaches include DBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic, solution-focused and client-centered modalities of psychotherapy.
In addition to her clinical practice, she has experience providing mental health support services and consulting in both small and large public and private organizations. Adelaine is a member of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada as a Registered Rehabilitation Professional and she is in the process of registering with the CRPO.
Adelaine completed her Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia with a specialization in Vocational Rehabilitation. Prior to this, she completed an honours degree in Psychology from York University. She also received a certificate of Rehabilitation Services from Seneca College, and is a certified Life Skills Coach
Naomi Friedman, MA, RP

Naomi works with a wide range of clients, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, stress, trauma, or other mental illness. She also has experience helping individuals struggling with addiction, anger management, borderline personality disorder, life transitions, post-motor vehicle accident trauma, and individuals seeking to learn different coping skills for happier and healthier lives. Naomi uses an integrative approach with her clients, which is a fancy way of saying that she uses a variety of techniques to help her clients realize and attain their specific goals. Naomi truly believes that therapy is a unique experience for each person, because no two people are the same! She seeks to work collaboratively with clients while utilizing a warm and empathic approach.
Naomi has experience using Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), just to name a few of the many different methodologies. Naomi is very flexible in her approach and specifically tailors her sessions to reflect the best treatment options based on the needs and personality style of each individual client. In addition to individual therapy, Naomi also provides couples counselling.
Naomi graduated with her Masters of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology, her Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and has completed advanced training in DBT from CAMH. Naomi is also a member of the OACCPP.
